Kari Holmes Talks to about Her Tour, Performing at The Loft, Dates in Grand Rapids

Kari HolmesFor those who’ve seen the video for “Something New” by singer/songwriter Kari Holmes, you’re aware she’s quite the charismatic performer. Holmes puts on one heck of a live show too. Considered by many as the future of country music, the poetic vocalist and her band The Modern Day Drifters are currently on a multi-city tour.

Holmes tells her goal for her tours is “to always get better, and to gain more fans and friends throughout the years. And, hopefully, I want to expand where I tour.”

On July 21st Holmes and The Modern Day Drifters will play The Loft in Lansing, MI. Doors open at 8PM, tickets are $8 in advance.

“Everybody at The Loft can expect some new originals that will be on my new album coming out sometime this year,” Holmes says. “And a few old school songs, some rock, some country. They can expect to have a good time!”

A Top 10 nominee for ICM’s New Artist of the Year, and a top charting act on the inspirational country charts and Music Row, Holmes has worked hard to earn the acclaim she’s received. Having written more than 100 songs including the hit “More from Me”, her tunes of heartbreak and honesty continue to win listeners over from Nashville to the Midwest and back.

Holmes and company will play Grand Rapids twice in August; Backforty Saloon on August 5 at 9PM and Twisted Bull on the 18th at 9:30PM. “I like to have fun on stage and interact with them,” Holmes says. “It’ll be a good time!”
