Art 101: Cody Rhodes as ROH World Heavyweight Champion

[Art (noun): 1. the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. 2. the various branches of creative activity.]

Cody Rhodes as Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion is one of the best title runs in the history of professional wrestling.

Rhodes defeated ring legend Christopher Daniels at ROH event Best in the World to become a world champion for the first time. This is an honor we felt was long overdue.

During Rhodes’ run with World Wrestling Entertainment he continued to improve and evolve, finding new ways to connect with the audience while upping the quality of his matches. We found him to consistently be one of the most entertaining personalities on their shows while proving himself athletically again and again in the ring.

Having held their Intercontinental and tag championships on multiple occasions, with each run more impressive than the last, WWE put a cap on Rhodes’ ascension. He’d gone as high as they allowed him to go. So he left the company.

Outside WWE Cody Rhodes is showcasing the full, unfiltered scope of his professional wrestling brilliance and all the nuances of the art. He’s not only demonstrated himself to be an even better commodity under his own independent career management, backed by his Bullet Club allies he’s proved that he’s the best in the world.|

Artist (noun): 1. a person skilled at a particular task or occupation.
