I don’t prefer romantic comedies. They’re usually too predictable. With the right cast and writers, though, I’ll at least take a chance.
So, I watched childhood-friends-become-lovers movie ‘Always Be My Maybe’ because it stars and is written by the incredible, hilarious, creative, and remarkably super-talented Ali Wong! She’s awesome!
She shared the lead and writing duties with actor Randall Park. He’s okay, I suppose.
As the film began, the opening credits were accompanied by all-time great hip-hop song “93 ‘til Infinity” by group Souls of Mischief!
I was pleasantly stunned. And I do prefer classic hip-hop. I never predicted that. |
